Is the well-read one in a Spanish forum that Octavia 2.0 TDI consumes a lot of oil, concretly they speak about 3 liters in 20000 km what is of certainly? Soon they will bring me this model. Those that you it have what result is it giving you?.

Hello!

In fact, older 2.0 Engines consums a lot of oil (up to 1l / 1000km). This is caused by wrong mounted piston-rings (upside down) so the oil is wiped up instead down.

volkswagen tried to point away the responsibility but several experts explained that a modern engine does not consume up to 1l oil within 1000km. an consumption of 0,1 - 0,3 l per 1000km is normal.
3l within 20000km is tolerable.

pues mi opinion es, de que 3 litros son un poco mucho. el primer litro heche a los 14.000 kilometros. importante es tambien como conduces.

i had the same problem with my new car. after only 6000km i had to fill up 0,75 liters oil.
i was totally surprised by the high consumption.
is this typcial or should i contact skoda?

ich habe mittlerweile (13600km) schon zweimal öl nachfüllen müssen. jeweils ca. 0,7 l!!!
hat jemand von euch ähnliche verbräuche??
mein skodahändler sagt, es sei normal - für mich bei einem literpreis von 22 EUR nicht nachvollbar....

Nach 16000 habe ich auch schon 1,6 l nachfüllen müssen. Mein Kollege liegt in Ähnlichen Regionen. Das scheint also normal zu sein.

My 2.0 TDI needs 0,75L Oil for 3500Km. In my point of view to much. But I remember our Audi A3 1.9 TDI which needs 1.0L for 2000Km. The problem is that Longlife oil is much to expensive...I payed 22€!! :motz: for one Liter (Esso Petrol station).

Why do some people still pay 22 € for 1 liter longlife oil at their local dealer? There's the possibility to buy the VW/Skoda released Castrol longlife oil in internetshops or at eBay for less than 10 €.

You can spend the spared money to go for lunch with your girlfriend/wife
