Does someone have this mask? Is engine faster in right temperature in winter?

I don't think that anybody does have this mask. Some of the users here have a shield of paper or anything else infront of there cooler, but it should not have a big effect. The Octavia has like most others new cars two coolers. So if you block the bigger front cooler, it will not have a big effect for the small cooler around the motor. The big cooler just get in use if the small cooler inside get over 80°C ( not 100% sure about the temperature ) water temperature.

It seems that german car drivers doesn´t need this.
Really, I don´t have a clue for what I´ve to look for, for helping you. Some users prepaire their radiator with es thin piece of pasteboard.

There is a pretty small effect that is not worth the money - except you live in Alaska or Siberia or drive often in heavy snow falls. But it may help to keep the temperature longer or on a higher level if you often stop the engine for half an hour and then go on like a taxi driver.

It costs only 12€. I have ordered it - but I don't hope in any big effect... Just some kind of change for winter - and maybe less aerodynamic drag And I drive a lot in town - with cool engine for short distances

And how about the contamination of the engine compartment? Could this be helpful as well?

My friend (who has it on Octavia 2 before Facelift) told me, that its very good to protect enginebay from little stones and salt+mud in winter... But it has almost no effect on warming (maybe a few seconds...)
